Sports tutor training
Here at the Finnish Student Sports Federation we promote the national development of sports tutoring and organise annual training on the subject on both a local and a national level.
Sports tutoring day
The sports tutoring day is a national training day for sports tutoring organisers which is held at the start of every year. The training day brings together the people in charge of sports tutoring at the student unions and sports services to learn together. The training is run in Finnish.
During the day we will go through the basic framework for sports tutoring and allow participants to share experiences and best practice. At every sports tutoring day we also tackle some current challenges.
As an OLL member you can take a look at the programme of previous sports tutoring days in the Federation’s Higher Education on the Move databank. Some of the material is available in English.
The next sports tutoring day will be held on the 16th of February 2021! Find out more here.
Would you like to offer your university’s sports tutoring organisers or the sports tutors themselves flexible training with the Finnish Student Sports Federation’s help?
Our experts are offering universities local training sessions in Finnish which have been tailored to their specific needs. Training sessions on how physical activity affects the ability to study, motivation to exercise, and how to get different kinds of students involved in sports have been particularly popular.
Please get in touch with our experts so that we can plan a training session that fits your requirements!
You can find our experts in charge of sports tutoring on our Contact information page.
