FSSF: The report on sports policy must be implemented during the next term of government
“Finland needs more physical activity in all age groups,” states the Government’s new Report on Sports Policy. The lack of physical activity costs the society billions of euros, and the younger generations must not be made to pay for it. In order to increase the amounts of physical activity in the future and reduce costs, the Finnish Student Sports Federation (OLL) demands that the Report on Sports Policy must be implemented during the upcoming term of office as part of the government programme.
The Finnish Student Sports Federation: Higher education students must be accepted into the students on the move program
The Finnish Student Sports Federation (Opiskelijoiden Liikuntaliitto ry, OLL) demands that Finnish higher education institutions and their 300 000 students must be accepted into the Students on the Move program. In order for the Students on the Move program to succeed, higher education students must be included in it.
OLL: Recommendations for HEIs to reduce sitting – students sit extremely much at present
Today, on 1 March, we publish the revised recommendations for higher education sport services. These require higher education institutions (HEI) to update their learning and study environments as well as operational cultures so that these support students to sit less. At present, higher education students sit so much daily that it is hazardous for their health (e.g. FSHS’ KOTT2016 survey).
