SELL Student Games, will be held in Riga, Latvia on May 22–24, 2026
The most fun student sports event of the year, the SELL Student Games, will be held in Riga, Latvia on May 22–24, 2026.
This year’s sport selection includes 14 sports: 3×3 basketball, 7×7 football, beach volleyball, judo, basketball, volleyball, padel, table tennis, chess, badminton, orienteering, swimming, powerlifting and athletics.
At the Games, participants represent their universities and all university students can take part, from exchange students to postgraduate students. Those who graduated in 2025 can also participate one last time. There are no age or performance limits at the Games.
The SELL Games are organized every other year in Finland, Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania. In the current SELL Games, which bring together about 1,000 participants, there are no performance limits and any higher education student can join. The most distant guests come all the way from China.
The Finnish and Baltic countries’ student sports carnival, founded in 1924 and revived in the 1990s, is now being held for the 41st time.
Registration and participation fee
- If you register by April 21, the participation fee is 50 euros/day/person.
- If you register after April 21, the participation fee is 60 euros/day/person.
The participation fee includes the competition, meals, public transport during the Games and the supporting programme with parties.
The Finnish Student Sports Federation supports the students of its member organizations with registration and at the Games. If you are not a member of OLL, please contact your university about registration.
