OLL’s membership continues to grow as KAMK becomes the 12th institution of higher education to join the Finnish Student Sports Federation.

OLL President Martta Sopanen is excited to welcome yet another university as a member of the organization:

“In order to promote students’ wellbeing and offer them opportunities for an active lifestyle, we need to work together on both a local and a national level. For this reason, I am especially grateful to welcome yet another institution as a member of OLL.”

Kamo, the student union of Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, is also an active member of OLL. KAMK’s Head of Education and Research, Anne Karhu, praises the wide-ranging expertise available to OLL’s members:

“Becoming a member supports Kajaani University of Applied Sciences’ strategic goal of building an attractive and healthy community at the university. With this membership, we gain access to OLL’s expertise and collaboration with other universities, allowing us to further develop our services to meet student needs. We believe that promoting physical activity promotes overall wellbeing, helping our students to learn and progress in their studies.”

Previously, only student unions were able to join OLL as regular members. In early 2025, OLL implemented a reform that allows membership for entire institutions of higher education. In total, OLL’s membership now includes 18 student organizations and 12 institutions of higher education.
