OLL's University Membership brings changes to international competition activities and cooperative membership
The right to participate in the European Universities Championships will be transferred from student unions to universities that are members of the Finnish Student Sports Federation (OLL). The benefits associated with cooperative membership will also be transferred to university membership.
The OLL board has decided on the effects of the federation's new university membership on participation rights in international competitions. After the transition period, students can only participate in the European Universities Championships from a university that is an ordinary member of OLL. The transition period for the change ends at the end of 2026.
With the introduction of university membership, the benefits associated with cooperative membership (discounts on academic sports services network meetings, participation in member events) will end in 2025. OLL hopes that current cooperative members will become ordinary members by the end of the year, so that cooperation and member benefits continue seamlessly into the following year.
