Another university has joined the ranks of the Finnish Student Sports Federation (OLL).

OLL President Martta Sopanen is delighted to welcome the university as a new member. Diaconia University of Applied Sciences (Diak) will officially become a member on April 1.

"It is great that our membership base is constantly and systematically growing. Membership in the federation indicates that the university bears responsibility for its students’ well-being and ability to study. Our diverse membership is a major strength as we develop a more active higher education sector," Sopanen comments.

Diak is building a university culture that supports students' well-being. The expertise that the federation offers its members plays a huge role in this work.

"We are delighted to have access to OLL's extensive expertise and support to help us build a more active and inclusive learning community. For us at Diak, it is of paramount importance that every student feels they belong to our community and that they are welcomed. Joining the Finnish Student Sports Federation is a concrete measure for the overall well-being of our students. We want to build a university culture where physical activity and community strengthen the well-being of our students," says Kati Komulainen, Diak's CEO and President.

Diak will be the tenth university member of the Finnish Student Sports Federation.
